This reflects the University's strong position among Polish higher education institutions and has a direct impact on, among other things, the level of funding available to the research centre, as well as its right to confer the academic degrees of Doctor and Habilitated Doctor.
Category A is awarded to research centres that can demonstrate, among other things:
- a large number of publications in renowned scientific journals,
- a significant research output of academic staff,
- high effectiveness in securing research grants,
- strong international visibility of research results,
- a tangible impact of research on the development of science, the economy or society.
We welcome the decision of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to award us Category A with great satisfaction. We regard it as recognition of the work of our researchers, but also as a challenge to pursue Category A+ in the next evaluation. I would like to thank all staff whose hard work contributed to this success. I would also like to extend my sincere congratulations to other faculties of the University of Lodz on their results
– says dr hab. Monika Bogucka-Felczak, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration.
