As part of interdisciplinary education, you can choose the university-wide courses and enrich your study curriculum with a subject that simply interests you.
In the winter semester, you can choose from:
- lectures conducted in Polish and foreign languages;
- Polish Film Academy;
- Academy of World Cinema;
- World Music: Introduction;
- World Music for Advanced Learners.
The last two courses are new additions to the university-wide courses offer.
Check the Fee Regulations Before Registering
If the university-wide courses are included in your study curriculum, you may attend them free of charge. If you take a course outside your study curriculum, a fee may apply in accordance with § 48 of the Rules of Study at the University of Lodz. The amount depends, among other factors, on the faculty offering the course.
The Academy of World Cinema and the Polish Film Academy are exceptions, as participation in these courses is subject to a fee in all cases.
On the other hand, the new courses World Music: Introduction and World Music for Advanced Learners are free of charge regardless of whether they are included in your study curriculum.
Remember: Registration Means You Must Complete the Course
Before selecting a course, make sure that you genuinely wish to take part in it. Registration for a given university-wide course in USOSweb makes that course compulsory, and obtaining credit is required in order to complete the semester or academic year.
You have a little more time for any changes, which can be made until 22 October 2026.

Electronic registration takes place via USOSweb and is open until 12 October 2026.

Doctoral students do not participate in electronic registration. They should express their interest in a course directly to the course instructor and to the coordinator of the university-wide courses at the faculty where the course is offered. In the case of the Academy of World Cinema and the Polish Film Academy, the same fees apply to doctoral students as to students.
