Klinika Prawa WPiA UŁ liderem w Polsce!

The Student Legal Information Point "Law Clinic" operating at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz has taken first place in the "Rzeczpospolita" ranking.

The ranking is prepared on the basis of data and information collected by the University Legal Clinics Foundation in annual statistical summaries. At the same time, the numerical data and achievements that underlie the ranking are based on data from the previous academic year, not the one that has not yet ended and has not been summarised

– informs Filip Czernicki, President of the University Legal Clinics Foundation.

This unique honour is proof of the commitment, professionalism and passion of our students and academic supervisors, who support those in need every day by offering free legal advice.

The Student Legal Information Point "Law Clinic" was established in 2001 thanks to the personal involvement of Prof. dr hab. Małgorzata Król, the support of the then authorities of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz and the initiative of a group of law students. The Clinic's activities, initially modest, began to develop over time. The number of students participating in these unusual activities and people coming to the Clinic with legal problems has been constantly growing. Currently, the Law Clinic, in addition to its core activity – providing free legal assistance to nonaffluent people – runs the "I know my rights" programme and additional didactic forms such as training, exercises and workshops.

What does the Clinic mean to our clients?

This is a place where:

  • assistance is provided to the indigent,
  • advice is prepared by law and administration students under the supervision of academic staff,
  • advice is provided only in writing, after a thorough review of the documents,
  • we do not accept cases already handled by an attorney or legal counsel,
  • we do not accept cases with a deadline of less than one month.

What does the Clinic mean to our students?

The Law Clinic is not just about practice – it is an opportunity to develop, gain experience and have a real impact on the lives of others.

Thanks to their commitment to the Clinic activities, students have the opportunity to develop professionally through:

  • office hours and seminars,
  • psychological and mediation training,
  • opportunity to work in a mediation group,
  • completion of internships and ECTS modules.

Recruitment takes place once a year – keep an eye out for our announcements!

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this success – students, mentors, clients, and partners. It's our shared work and commitment that has made us the best in Poland!
